My fav so far!! 22 Nov 2006 2:54pm Damon Schreiber from Toronto, CanadaDefinitely my favourite so far of your Terry Gilliam fever-dreams. Stunning! 22 Nov 2006 3:44pm Mommith in Chief from Naperville, United StatesYup, it is great. Yeah - I definately see a lot of Terry Gilliam in there. 22 Nov 2006 7:00pm The Juxtaposed Image from Tallahassee, Fl, United StatesWow, thanks for your comments, they are becoming addictive. Your feedback is wonderful. Please remember to tell people WHY you like or dislike something, its more important to know why you like something. 22 Nov 2006 8:31pm Colour blind from Tokyo, Japan@ The Juxtaposed image...thank you very much for the constructive criticism. You're right there is a lack of "heartbeats" in my pictures. I'm still at the stage where I'm just concentrating on one main subject. I'm going to try and expand my creativity and try to include something living in my photos. Please keep your advice coming!!! Thanks again. 23 Nov 2006 12:22am seventhray from Wayland, United StatesVery unique. I like the colors and the way the light shimmers on the water. I look forward to more of your work! 23 Nov 2006 12:42am Damon Schreiber from Toronto, CanadaIt's a bit difficult for me to critique these works as they aren't typical photos; they're compositions, and as such the "rules" are different (you're limited by imagination, not by what was on scene). I'll take a stab here, though since you have asked for more why and less what, and since you've spent so much time today critiquing my and others' photos. I find this particularly pleasing I think because every element, no matter how surreal, has a purpose: the crane holds the fish which releases water into the pond, so there's an organic sense which harmonises with the pastoral landscape, yet offers a contrast to the "ahem" juxtaposed images. At least there's no sense that things were just stuck randomly without an overriding scheme. I don't know if that makes it better or just more accessible. Probably the latter. Anyway, you know, I like. 23 Nov 2006 3:40am Tonfry from Minooka, United StatesI agree...it is very pleasing. It reminds me of something out of Big Fish if you have seen that movie. Even though it is surreal and strange, you captured some sort of reality in it- it makes sense, even if it's not logical. I don't know how to put a finger on it... 23 Nov 2006 5:02am |
